The Charlottesville Marathon and Half Marathon is a very scenic race, voted "One of the Top Ten Best New Marathons in the U.S.A" by Runners' World Magazine and "One of the Country Top Five Destinations Marathons" by The New York Times. This is a boutique event and not a large marathon, built and executed for the runner who loves scenic courses, selected destinations and smaller crowds. The start and finish in Downtown Charlottesville is full of life, history and culture, unique restaurants, shops, breweries. The course runs from Downtown Charlottesville to the Rivanna river and along historic and scenic neighborhoods: the course is rolling with several hills, but that's just Charlottesville. Let us know if we can answer any questions.
